Morris Dance Tunebook

Knowing our memories are not getting better, we decided (cannot remember when) to collect Morris tunes into a "fakebook" of sorts that might be easily carried by a musician in their smartphone or available on a computer. This is that book! We wish you much happiness as you jump up and down in public.

As this is a living document (new dances, interpretations, etc.), we will make periodic updates. In addition to the current version, here is a form to sign for notifications when a new version comes out. If, for some reason, you would not like to be on this list after you have signed up, please go to the list signup form and leave a comment to that effect.

If you would like to make an addition to the tune book, please contact Ted Hodapp. He will need:
1) A clean PDF or Musescore file of the tune
2) The name of the tradition to which the tune should be attached
3) An attribution for the music (e.g., From the playing of Jane Doe for the Upper-Mid-East Ramblers)

If you are unsure to how to contact Ted, he has a gmail account that is his name.
